Since I don't do much gambling - preferring to work on my art - it was important to me that I have some room in my room. It was nothing special - reminded me of a low rent studio apartment - but it was spacious. The state of the hallway carpet is disgustingly soiled but the room was clean throughout, as was the bedding, bathroom (including jet tub and shower). We had a king suite on the first floor, way down the hallway from the casino. So I wasn't sure what we'd gotten ourselves into for the weekend but resigned to make the most of it. otherwise, I generally don't reserve a room that TripAdvisor rates as average to worse. This hotel was chosen by our league because the bowling alley we were having our tournament in was part of the property. ![]() For a great family experience, book room 363 at the GDW!! I never heard a sound from the hallway, adjoining rooms, or RV park. Most impressive of all, I couldn't smell smoke anywhere but the casino and lobby which opens into the casino. ![]() It must have been redone recently, the shower even had the curved curtain I've just started noticing in hotels. Great to have two separate a/c's especially in 95 degree weather. The breakfast in the coffee shop was great and SO CHEAP, plus we were given several coupons for $$ off food. ![]() Parking was right outside the room, and free, unlike many more upscale places. There was a wet bar with sink and fridge. ![]() Nice linens, nothing about them seemed dated or old. The king bed was a pillow top, felt just like mine at home that I only bought four months ago. No, it's not as pretty inside as say, the Embassy Suites, but the suite was so huge, two full-sized rooms with plenty of space to walk around, two sinks that were outside the toilet/shower/tub area so several people could get ready at once. I was so surprised at how much I enjoyed it, it wasn't at all like some of the previous reviewers' experiences. We stayed there for a softball tournament.
